The Hope Association is very excited to welcomed Greg Fraser back as a part of its Administrative Team. He previously worked for the Association from 1989 to 2003 before moving on to other programs. Greg will be an Administrative Assistant to the Hope Association’s Leadership Team where he will focus his attention on helping the team to prepare for national accreditation, corporate compliance and grant writing.
Catherine Johnson, Executive Director is happy to announce that with the additional support of Greg’s position, The Hope Association will be working on a couple of new projects that will broaden its core mission of helping people to focus on their capabilities as vital members of their local communities.
In January 2016 the Western Maine Brain Injury Support Group was formed, meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:15PM at 82 Congress Street. The first project will assist many more people in our area as Hope develops a new Brain Injury program that will provide services and supports to individuals with traumatic and acquired brain injuries and their care givers in our area.
Greg is also excited to be working on replacing the Briar Patch Greenhouse. The current Briar Patch Greenhouse has been a tremendous success in supporting individuals with a variety of abilities to stretch and grow beyond the Association’s original hopes since 2004. We now find that the structure needs to be replaced. Hope will do so with a facility that will be more technologically advanced and economically efficient for year round operations. Greg will be working with the Hope Association’s team on grant writing and other fundraising efforts to bring this new project to the River Valley area.
